Living Perspectives has been engaged in Ethiopia since 2004 with measurable contributions to the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of people, churches and effectiveness of other NGOs. Some incredible results have emerged. Individuals and groups are experiencing transition and transformation as they follow God’s leading.
Three Development Initiatives have emerged during the 12 trips taken to date:
- Projects (Schools, Prison, Microfinance)
- Organizational Support for Other Christian NGOs
- Leadership (Future Christian Business Leaders/Pastors)
Related Projects in Ethiopia
- Investment in leadership training and financial support for 5 young, future Christian business/ministry individuals in Dilla, Ethiopia.
- Built a school for 80 PK-K and provide ongoing support for teachers and supplies. Initiated a micro finance project to provide sustainable growth for the school.
- Direct financial support is provided to the Dilla prison Chaplain with a men’s congregation of 350 for salary, Bible and educational materials.
- Purchased sewing machines, materials and paid for trainers for women inmates in the Dilla prison to have a trade when released; very successful ministry to the women.
- Consulted to two other effective ministries from Spokane (International Assistance Program & New Covenant Foundation) contributing significantly to their outreach.
- Co-lead a 5 year planning initiative with the 125 bed Soddo Christian Hospital staff.
Why Not Join this Hands On Effort?
You can participate through prayer, financially supporting a project or future leader or even taking a vision trip to Ethiopia. It takes about $15,000 each year to complete projects that have proven accountability and which move towards local control and sustainability.
