Granite Falls Eco Team Arrives in Houston

Published by Paul on

The Granite Falls High School Tiger Teams have arrived in Houston.  A group of 21 including 10 students, technical volunteers and chaperones had a great flight from Seattle. Today at 8 a.m.  the two cars driven here by a father of one of the team will be unloaded with check in at noon. This year there are 2x as many teams, 130.  Last night we talked at the pool with 3 university students from Brazil who have a car being shipped in today.  The buzz is everywhere with over a 1000 people involved with cars and a myriad of Shell people to assist.

The teams look great in the uniform T shirts and bounce in their step.  This year both cars, the Urban Car, Philippe’s Revenge, 2 seater and our all girls team, Shop Girls, driving the “Iron Maiden” will have plenty of competition.

and I will twitter at LPcoachPaul.   Our photographer is an 8th grade student, we have only one senior and 3 juniors.  Our PR leaders are a sophomore and junior. Our volunteers are world class in machining, fiberglass, manufacturing and public relations. Go Team.

Blessings from Houston
